Kitchen Reveal
Hi everyone!! I’m back with my second room reveal, which is often referred to as the ‘heart of the home’— the kitchen! It is one of my favorite rooms, along with the living room (since they’re pretty much completely open to one another).
First, let me give you guys a little back story. When I bought my home in September, it was COMPLETELY renovated. A married real estate couple gutted the house to its core and flipped it down to every last detail. You should SEE the before pictures, it was actually horrendous. I would share the Zillow link but I don’t want any creepers knowing my address 🙃
So anyways, all the finishes, hardware, light fixtures, flooring— the whole shebang was not picked out by me. Although I do have to say, they pretty much read my mind. I think they did such an amazing job. There are many things they picked out that I don’t think I would’ve chosen on my own, but now they’ve really grown on me. Like the kitchen pendents for example. They’re just so different and fun! It’s always nice when someone else’s decision gives you new perspective and inspiration.
A lot of the items in my kitchen are lucite/acrylic material. I really wanted a clean, chic vibe, with minimal clutter on the counters. I hate clutter, lol. I found the perfect clear bar stools on Amazon, and a few accessories to match like the cookbook stand, paper towel and napkin holder. I get so many compliments on the lucite look every time I have guests over! It’s super easy to clean, too.
One of my favorite pieces in the kitchen is the round printed rug from Wayfair. I think it pulls the whole space together. I also snagged a stainless steel Kitchen Aid mixer from Target during their Black Friday sale for such a good deal. My personalized letter board is fun to switch out during each holiday or when out of town guests come over 😏
The last item I’m going to talk about is the Mckenzie Child’s teapot my besties, Chelsea and Victoria, just got me for Christmas 🥰 how sweet are they!! There’s a really cute meaning behind it. So before I found this home, I put in an offer on another house in the area that had tonssss of Mckenzie Child decor. I kept saying ‘omg, it’s fate if I get this house’ since my name is Mackenzie too. Well, I didn’t end up getting that house (thank gawd), so they got me the teapot to show how this house was much more meant to be!! I guess I’ll let it slide that Mckenzie Child spelled my name wrong 😉
