Precious Cargo [Pants] — Modishly Mackenzie

Cargo pants/trousers are sooo in right now. And I have to say, I’m officially here for it. At first I was like ‘oh hell no’ and was a lil bit terrified. But now seeing all the variations, I think there’s a style for everyone! I gravitate towards any pair that are high waisted and cinched at the ankles.

For this blog post, I styled two pairs and shot the photos in Chicago while I was there for St. Patty’s weekend (ugh, imy Chicago). I have a few others that I plan to wear soon as well, so be prepared to see a lottttt more of cargo pants in your near future (ok not that many, just a couple).

I have been addicted to Nasty Gal lately, so the majority of both outfits were purchased there! They have such amazing sales 24/7 and free returns. Only thing is, shipping can sometimes be slow 😕 but for the price point and decent quality, I think it’s worth it!

The first look featured a pair of plain beige cargo pants. They kinda reminded me of Kim Possible, just a tan version, lol! To make the outfit a bit more feminine, I wore it with a white lace bodysuit and layered gold necklaces. I added a white belt bag (unfortunately sold out, but I found a look alike here) to the look to make them pair together a little more seamlessly.

Next fit is a black on black kinda mood. My friends told me I looked emo 😂 they just don’t appreciate a black out look like I do. I loved the dangling straps on the pants— I thought it was such a cute detail. I've been loving chains attached to belt loops too! Total Kylie Jenner vibes.

I kept the rest simple with a black tube top and oversized jean jacket (I need to get myself a cropped fit though, I think that would’ve looked even better).
