Books I've Read During Quarantine
Spending so much more time at home has caused for A LOT of reading to go down in my household. As most of you already know, reading is one of my favorite hobbies, so with all this extra time, I’ve been taking full advantage of picking up some new books. Below are the ones I’ve read (or may still be reading) and if I recommend them or not!
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before series by Jenny Han
So in the beginning of quarantine, I was looking for a cute chick flick to watch on Netflix, and finally watched To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and the sequel. I thought they were super cute, so why not read the series! The books are definitely geared towards teens, and can be super cheesy at times, but overall a fun, light read. There are three books!
Wealth Can’t Wait by David Osborn & Paul Morris
I also wanted to work on my personal business growth as well during quarantine, and not lose sight of my goals just because I was temporarily “on hold” with truly working. This book is a really good one for any entrepreneur. Definitely heavily focused on real estate, but there are a lot of tactics that can be used across many fields.
Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng
Reese Witherspoon stars in a new Hulu series based on this book, and I’m almost always a “read the book before the movie” kinda girl, so I quickly Amazon primed the book so I could start the series ASAP!!! I have to say, I personally felt like the show was a lot better than the book.. which I normally never say. A lot of details were missing from the novel that were included or elaborated on in the show.
Twice in a Blue Moon by Christina Lauren
If you’re looking for a romance novel, this one could be good for you! It’s about two young teens who meet and fall in love abroad, there’s a bit of betrayal in between, and then they are later reunited. I felt this was just ok— their love/relationship definitely needed to be more developed.. it seemed very surface level to me.
The Gift of Forgiveness by Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt
Everyone can benefit from this book, and learning to be more open to forgiveness. I know that’s something I really need to work on! There are so many interesting and heartfelt stories in here, from some pretty prominent people. A mother from the Sandy Hook shooting, Pablo Escobar’s son and Elizabeth Smart, to name a few.
The Girls by Emma Cline
Still in the middle of this one. It’s based on the Charles Manson cult and their strange af lifestyle.
Atomic Habits by James Clear
Just started this one but I LOVE it so far. Can’t wait to pick up some life changing habits… hopefully there are some tips in there on how to become a morning person 😂
