Luxe Like Velvet
Nothing looks more chic than velvet. It has a way of looking so luxurious, even when it’s not. That’s what inspired this post name, Luxe Like Velvet.
I feel like the perfect time to wear velvet is within the November through January range. All of the holidays are thrown into those months, so it’s the ideal time to dress as boujee as possible. Also, since velvet is fuzzy, it keeps you warmer! If you’re always freezing like me, that’s a huge pro, lol.
For both looks I went with a midnight velvet kind of look. Meaning all black errrrthang (almost). Outfit one had a littleeee peep of white. I wore the most glamorous black velvet blazer— this has so many potential wears. Holiday party, business meeting, or even everyday office style! Ugh, I have such a crush on velvet (see what I did there 😏). I paired it with a white cropped turtleneck, leather leggings, platform combat booties and this belt bag. OH, and the biggest silver hoops I could possibly find.
Marcus and I went to the cutest tree shop right by my house— it had string lights and candy cane poles, literally so festive and just the vibe I was looking for. But let me tell you, I am NOT cut out for the cold, you guys. I was freezing my ass off when I had to take my parka off for these pics 😂
For the second outfit, I went with a pair of jet black velvet jeans. They’re high rise, not quite high waisted (even though I wish they were) and sooo comfy. I styled this look with a lace bodysuit and faux fur cropped jacket. So many different textures going on. Then I threw on the leather booties I’ve been wearing in a lot of my recent posts! They are such a closet staple piece.
Unfortunately, my Free People lace bodysuit is sold out—I linked it just in case it ever comes back in stock, plus a back up option. The velvet blazer I’m wearing was purchased at Rococo, so it cannot be found online. I linked a few similar ones.
