Tan Luxe Vs. Isle of Paradise
Now that we’re approaching the cooler months, enter your new best friend: self tanning drops.
There’s two brands that most people rave about… Isle of Paradise and Tan Luxe. I’m here to debate which is better. I only use these drops on my face. What I do is mix 2-3 drops [almost] every morning into my face moisturizer— I bring it all the way down to my neck, because I was noticing that when I don’t, it shows a line on my jawline. Bringing it down completely prevented that!
The one I originally tried is Tan Luxe (I do the light/medium shade). I’ve noticed that this one gets me tan quicker, so I don’t use it EVERY day— more like 5ish days a week. If I do use it everyday it starts to make me get too tan, especially when I put my bronzer on. I feel slightly loyal to this one because I tried it first. It’s $49, sold at Sephora and Ulta!
Next, I tried out Isle of Paradise in the shade medium. It appears to be green, but the drops are actually more on the clear side, it’s the bottle that’s tinted green! This one has sold out many times for months at a time on Sephora (only sold here or their direct website), which can get a little annoying, but it definitely shows it’s worth. It’s also HALF the price of Tan Luxe drops, at $29. I can use this one everyday because it doesn’t get me tan as quick (or stay as long). It has more of a scent to it than Tan Luxe as well.
Overall, they’re both amazing products. It’s hard to choose!! I guess it depends on if you want to use it everyday and how quickly you want to develop a tan. If you want quick results, I would go with Tan Luxe. I’ve also used this one the longest so I have more of a concrete answer. If you want more of an everyday type product, I would go with Isle of Paradise! Been using this one all summer long and it added a little extra glow to my base tan. I interchange them depending on which I have on hand and what I’m in the mood for… aka how pale I am at that moment 😉

SO, moral of my indecisive story is you can’t go wrong with either. Have you tried both? Which do you like better?
