Best Of: Sweater Dresses — Modishly Mackenzie

When I was browsing Nasty Gal and Missguided for my fall staples goodies, I came across SO many stylish sweater dresses. I can’t get enough. I love how cozy wearing a simple sweater dress feels. You know that quote about people thinking you got all dressed up since you’re wearing a dress, when in reality you’re just lazy and didn’t want to have to coordinate pants? This is the same situation— you don’t even have to think about it! BUT, it’s also nice because you can totally throw on a pair of pleather leggings (or non pleather I suppose, lol) underneath a sweater dress for some added coverage and warmth.

I kept a color theme going because I’m super into warm, neutrals this season, and wanted to purchase pieces I felt I’d get the most wear out of. Each style is super flattering and good quality— no see-through, too short nonsense.

The first look is a nude mock neck mini dress from Missguided. I made this look a little more evening wear inspired, with strappy heels, a patent leather jacket and black beaded earrings.

Next up was the comfiest hooded sweater dress. I threw on a pair of brown croc print boots and a matching purse! A pair of simple, pavé hoop earrings and my hair in a low pony made the look casual.

This chocolate ribbed midi dress is one of my favorites. The longer length does wonders on your butt, I swear! I accessorized with tortoise hoops and a clutch from Forever 21 (unfortunately sold out 😩). The lucite heels I have on literally go with everything.

The fluffy roll neck, tiger print sweater already had a lot going on, so I just wore my everyday huggie hoop earrings (I get a lot of questions on where I got these from) and a pair of black over the knee boots.

Last look is a button down midi dress from Nasty Gal. This is the most dressed down of the bunch because it might be the last time I get to wear my Superga sneaks this season. I added dainty gold jewelry and this amazing saddle bag— super in right now and I love the faux fur!
